trading the fit?

OK so I have my fit for sale and I got an offer to trade it for a 04 Saturn ion redline with 50k miles. I was looking to get something a little bigger on the interior such as an suv the Saturn s obviously gonna be smaller on the inside but is kinda a four door and the biggest thing is The Saturn is clean title my fit is salvage restored. The Saturn isn't quite what I was looking for in a trade but the value is better then the fit. So I'm looking for opinions trade the practicality of the fit for something wroth more or hold out and wait for a sale any opinions would be greatly appreciated
And here is a quick picture

And one of the fit for comparison sake

As far as my thinking goes you're trading a salvage title vehicle for a piece of junk. You don't state why your Fit is for sale but the fact it has the salvage title will hurt. The best way to come out ahead is keep the Fit and drive it. As long as you keep it you're not loosing anything. The day you sell it is when you loose.

Yes the Saturn is 5speed its also supercharged, everything I've read is good on em . So I wouldn't call it a piece of junk but everyone has their opinion

You're right. I was being too harsh. Non-the-less, you're talking about a car that doesn't have the dependability or quality of the car you now have.

Theres no way I'd ever trade a Honda for an American car, let alone a Saturn. My friend has a redline...Quik, but Poor quality car man.

Interior is garbage. Rattles, crappy materials ect. Mechanical aswell, im not sure on what exactly was going on with his but i know he's had issues and had to take it to the dealer a few times.

I just dont see what you see in the car? If you want something with some power thats affordable theres many much better choices out there man.
You can land an older RSX S pretty cheap now a days. Thats just to name one.

get a dealer quote on the saturn for a trade in for a vehicle you want...still loose by going through the dealer but if it works out it works out i guess cause i wouldn't hold on to the ion that long if at all.

Then keep the Fit, its a great little car that'll go forever. Yeah its not the quikest but it handles like mad with suspension. Couple that awesome handling with some boost and you got yourself a nice little AutoX/track machine.

my biggest concern is safety/size not so much speed had a 400+hp SRT4, a 350hp evo9 and a pt cruiser gt that pilled on stock srts. The fact that the ion is supercharged is really just a plus...
the only real reason for wanting to get out of the Fit is the longer i keep it the more im gonna loose(granted this is the same with every car but the salvage restored seems to make it worse) on it and granted i paid 8k for it but now the best offer ive had is 7k and its got 3k more miles then when i bought it

Cars loose big percentage of their value during the first 3 years and lose a progresively smaller percentage each year afterwards (if you graphed the total amount of depreciation over time it would look somewhat like a logarithm). If you keep purchasing cars that are within the first 5 model years you will always take a larger loss than if you kept the same vehicle for longer. Domestic cars classically depreciate faster than Imports anyway.
