Someone hit my car today.. i gotta question

At work someone parked the company truck next to my fit today, and at the end of the day this dude went to bring the truck into the shop he set my alarm off. so he tries to play it off like nothin happpend and i go and see a dent in my door and im like wtf dude! he doesnt say anything so i go and tell the owner of the company the guy didnt notice he hit my car. the owner says he's not liable, and the guy who did it then says he'll pay for it. i got a quote right after work its gonna be $400 should i take it to the owner or the guy who hit my car?

Take it to the owner. If the owner has insurance on the vehicle it will be his insurance company you will have to deal with. If the owner has no insurance then you could look to the driver.

Oh yea he hit it with his door, like he opened it too wide.. But yea I would think it's the owner of the companys responsibility. But the owner was trying to say no it isn't.

Agree.

The owner is saying no cause he doesn't want to pay for it since it will affect his insurance rate.

If this guy is also your boss then he might have bad feeling toward you even through you're not the one that f... up.

If it's a company vehicle you deal with the company's insurance. If the driver owned the vehicle, but was on the job, you can pursue either party. In some cases, even if it is a company vehicle you can pursue the driver, but i think it has to be gross negligence. This is what I remember from my business law class from two years ago, so hopefully it's right! Good luck.
