Keep the CR or sell it

Ok here is the new problem i have now. Ok i have a dog a serious GF thats about to move in with me. I own a S2000 CR which i still owe money on it and a previa that i bought in cash. Now the GF does not make much she goes to college and works part time. I make good money for the area i live in. The previa is a POS for sure i payed $450 for it has no AC crap interior and exterior. But i was hoping it would last a while. Well its having problems as of this week. Now i have a couple of options i figure let me know what you guys suggest in my situation. The dog wont fit in my CR and my GF has some money saved for a car right now. Now i would still look for something fun like a Fit,GTI,subie. I really want something turboed that has a back seat for the dog and more room if i get rid of the CR.

Option A-Sell the CR and get 2 ok used cars for me and the GF wich we would both pay for say $9-12k each
Option B-keep the CR and help the GF get some thing cheap for say $5-7k
Option C-Sell the CR get say something for $16k for me and some thing for around $7k for the GF

Pick up the Fit, remove the rear seats leaving even more room for your dog in the back and you still have sort of the 2 seat feel of the Snisen. If your gf has your Previa and you are talking about weekend trips and whatnot, why not just use that?

I sold my Snisen when I moved back to Japan instead of bringing it, because of 2 dogs and only allowed to own 1 car working for the US Government even as a contractor. Dumb base rules. I wish I didn't because it was a very fun car. The Fit is a fun car, sure it only has 1/2 the power of the Snisen, but also weighs about 500lbs less. So that negates some of that increased power...NOT MUCH!!! The Fit is by no means fast, but I never thought my Snisen was either. I still believe my old 5R Integra was faster (more power and lighter by about 350lbs), but gave up some slightly in the handling department compared to the Snisen.

If your big thing is space for the dog, the Fit really can not be beat in this arena and I mean this from another car offering up as much fun when driving and having the same utility.

How is the Element classified as fun and affordable? They are gas pigs compared to the Fit. I remember Honda giving me one while my engine was being rebuilt in my Teggy and that thing sucked gas to the tune of about 7km/l (16.4mpg). It's too heavy and no where near as fun driving as a Fit.

Thanks guys the element did not come in my mind at all. I found this CRV. If i go with a small suv i don't think i would op for the element i would go for the CRV,RAV4,XB,EQANOX by chevy. I really like the style of the XB but love both hondas i have owned first being the fit which i traded in for the S2000. What do u guys think of this CRV it has 98k miles and they want $9k i would offer around $7.5k to start. I figure that the CRV should have another 98k miles left in it before any thing major would go wrong. So if i could get something like this for around $7.5k with that many miles should i jump on it. I would think i could drive that for another 5 years or so with no problems.

To some it is i went from a evo to the Fit so it felt really slow to me in the straights fun in the turns. But i thought i could live with it well my itch for speed got the better of me and i traded my 08 fit for my S2000. I love the S its not super fast but fast enough to keep me excited to drive it in a strait line. Now i did love the fit for it being the best DD i ever owned. Now gbaby2089 that is a good price for sure. I am intrested for sure not sure on the distance ur far from FL though.

i almost bought an XB as well. i was just like you. i had a really nice sports car. but wanted to get something that wasnt so boosted and unreliable and was also semi fun to drive.

i chose a fit.. but i came close to getting a XB, the only reason i went to honda instead of an Xb is because i felt if i gotten a xb, i would have gotten an automatic. and if i got a honda fit, i would go with manual... and i was still in love with driving manual because it makes it fun to actually drive.. and here i am with a fit.

I agree with the above. The Element is far from being fun or affordable. I will give you that it has storage, but that's not what the guy was asking for as a primary need.

I thought you said you wanted fun!!! A CR-V? They are noisy as hell, not economical, they have major problems with the drive system for years 2005 thru 2007.... later years we'll learn soon. They handle horribly, accelerate slowly and fuel economy is real crummy.

Your question seems to have converted to "cost", and not "fun".

I second this!
I own both a subie wagon and a fit, and the wife and I are avid campers/backpackers. Our subie takes us everywhere!!!

I don't find the subaru mechanically expensive to own, but it does cost extra in fuel due to the AWD (still much better than most mid size suvs). However, you may not necessarily need AWD living in sunny florida.
