What Kind of Car Should I Buy?

I sold my Galant, and I've got about $3000 to play with......

What should I get?

Few Requirements:
Newer than 1990
No Miatas (I wish)
4x100

Also, need to be able to pull these beauties off

I mean the wheels lol

17x7 Enkei NT03's

If your main concern is to fit within 3000$ then buy any car that is under 3000 and is not a miata. Just go to a car lot or open any website and the first one under 3K is your car.

If you specified other criteria like reliability, I would recommend Toyota Corolla. Need to be more specific to get more specific answer.

E30 or MK2-3 VW. Not sure about the center bore or offset being compatible though. Reliability is pretty low, but the fun factor is high. I'd probably go with a 318is.

German isn't better then, I presume?

I've never driven or owned a German car and I'm confused about conflicting statements about the much-ballyhooed "solidity" of Teutonic motors. Is the solidity real or just an illusion?

Why not a Miata?

i just searched the cars.com database for used cars of all makes and models in the WI area and it came up with lame cars with really high miles. the best car you can get with $3k is a 2000 honda atv with 100 miles for about $2k.

good luck finding a car worth buying and driving with $3k. i would just put a down payment on a used s2k or gd fit.

nvm about the putting down on a gd. seems as though the fit has better retained value than that of the s2k.

For 3K, used in WI, a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4! Ugly, heavy slow, shitty gas mileage, worse reliabilty. But it is good in the snow! Oh, and put the 4x100 NT03s on your lawn tractor. Why did you sell the Galant for 3K having no idea what you would drive afterward? Do you walk to work?

go to your local craigslist--buy from an individual. You'd be surprised at the good cars people are selling cuz they need the cash. See what's a available and then check back here.
