Is it really possible? Fit -> Type R -> Fit?

Is it really possible? Fit -> Type R -> Fit?
It's been a while since I've been on here. Some of you may remember my old BBP. I ended up selling her to pick up a mint condition ITR.
Turns out, I buy the ITR in November and my wife gets pregnant in December. This really opened my eyes. Each day that passes, I think more and more about getting back into a Fit. It's hard to describe, but as much as I love beating the snot out of the DC2, it's not *much* more fun than the GD3. So let me ask you, could you go from econo box to Type R, then back again?

Yea i am happy i was worrying i would regreat it after i did it. But no im happy as can be. I am saving about $250 a month right now will own the Fit by about Feb of 2011. And my Fit has 20k miles on her right now. I can fit my dog and GF with tons of room left in it. it costs me $12 to fill up at half a tank. But i figure if i do miss the S2k that much by next year i will own the Fit so i can always buy another used one. But as of now its just as fun to drive i do miss going top down driving but only did it about 5 times in the S2k.

Spray paint/vinyl wrap it. :P
In all honesty and looking at it from a practicality point, the Fit of course will have the upper hand because of its two additional doors and large amount of cargo room. You can easily get the child, the seat, carrier, etc. in and out the car. But its way down on power and won't perform like the Teg (stock, out of the box) if you decide to continue running in gymkhana events.
In contrast, the Teg could still work out you two but it would be less convenient to get the child, along with the child's stuff, in and out the car (even when you move the seats forward) because it being a two door performance car. Plus, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't want to burden myself or wife/girlfriend by limiting us to one car that gets the child and everything else in and out easily and having another where its like playing 3d Tetrus.
If you have the child seat, stroller, and all the other necessities for the child load them all into the Teg. See if you and your wife can get those items in and out without too many problems. If it works out with little to no problems, great keep the ITR; however, if you or your wife having trouble loading and unloading it, it may be time to reconsider.
Just ask yourself, "Do you need a car like the Teg/Fit?" and "Do you want the pro/cons of either car?".

ha? no need for AT if you now how to drive MT. just because one's a dad does not mean suddenly he needs to sell all his toys and become some boring minivan AT driv0r.
i think lots of guys get scared becoming dads because they think they need to 'give up' on so much. not the case if you do it right. :p

You will get used to a Fit awful fast after you try extricating your little one from the back of the ITR on a rainy day a few times! Besides I don't see getting a Fit as a "sacrifice" in any case. It may not be fast as the ITR, but day to day, its probably just as much fun to drive. And do not get an auto! Being a Dad doesn't mean you've forgotten how to drive....
