Manual vs Automatic
I was forced to learn to drive stick, friend passed out at a chili's bar when I was 18. He had a stick Elantra. I had to drive him home. It was do or die time. I already knew the basics from a 3 wheeler I owned and a riding lawn mower. After a few stalls, I had it down. Well until I destroyed his 3rd gear synchros, worst smell ever. He never found out why he had to double clutch 3rd for a few months until he sold it. Good times.
I really enjoy the AT with my turbo. Consistency is great.

I disagree with this, at least for me. I had an 08 MT Sport and my sister has an 08 AT Sport. Her car was noticeably slower and a snooze to drive IMO. But she wouldn't drive my car because she hated sticks. So different strokes....
Same engine, same horsepower. Yes, the transmision is different but we are still talking about the same 117 HP engine. If we race, you will reach your destination 1 minute faster than me. It is still a slow drive. I test drove both and the difference was minimal. I have driven manual transmission cars all my life and the fit is still slow with your manual transmission. I can work my paddle shifter and hang with you but I'd rather be fast in faster cars. Arguing about who has the fastest fit is silly IMO. By all means, i love this car but it seems like there is way too many manual tranny fanboys who think they're car is better just because they're car has a clutch.

Anyone with an AT GD3 wanna meet me at Union Grove for a few legal WOT pulls down the 1320? ;D
I haven't put the turbo on yet, I'll switch back to the stock tune and put the ECT on normal.

Slap on your turbo with your tune and ill play with you in my bolt on N/A Si :D
They would probably try to jail me in Commiefornia with what I do to my cars lol
How's this... When I go out to Bonneville you can meet me there and I'll bring you some 26" LSR skinnies to slap on. 5 bolt hubs?
That would be interesting, maybe. Which chassis Si?

Wow "Get spanked?" you sound like a twat. Especially since you have no idea what my turbo set up will consist of.
Bolt-ons are cute. You have a ~2850lb Civic with maybe 140-160wtq and you think you are going to embarrass a turbo fit that starts off 300lbs lighter?
Even the bolt on GT25 turbo'd fits put down >150wtq with low single digit boost.
I am going to have a TD05H-14B MHI turbo being fed meth and toluene running at least 1 bar boost.
The best part is.. I've only spent $850 bucks and I only have injectors left to buy.
How much did the I/H/E, Intake Mani, Throttle body, cams and tune run you?

254/177 is nothing to brag about with a 2L. How much did that mediocrity cost? Did you tune it or build it?
Or do you just write checks?
My 2L pushes 65lbs/min @ 38psi.
Oh and I actually use my towhook.

This is turning ugly and i wish to settle this. I do not mean any disrespect and I hope to be a long timed member on this forum and absorb valued information that this forum can provide. Good luck on your modding and i will have fun with mine.
I can see you are passionate about your civic, and I certainly respect that. I am passionate about all cars and would like to see you contribute here in the future.

I love my new fit and can't wait to be larger part of this community. Gotta love them hatches.

that would have to do with gear ratio's and of course the computer's shift points vs your shift points. Theoretically at least, mine would outrun both of yours as i have upgraded performance packages, thats all she would need to do to hers and its not really that expensive depending how far you go.

I believe you are less focused on driving with automatic and your mind wanders. However with stick(manual) you are constantly looking at everything that you are doing. I would only choose automatic if I were stuck in traffic for more than 30 minutes. Traffic + manual = tiring.

Traffic = tiring
Driving stick = worth it all.... at least, for me.
