What's your favorite FF car?
If we are talking completely stock FF, 1GA DSMs like this 1992.5 Eagle Talon:

Or 1992.5 Plymouth Laser (different wheels of course, Cragar V5s!):

If we expand this to all FFs I am a little biased of course but mines gotta be either this one:

Andrew Brilliant's 2nd Gen FWD DSM
Or Kevin Kiggly's 1G FWD DSM:

Low 8sec quarter mile @ 170mph! Worlds fastest FWD

I like seeing the big fender louvers... That was a commonly used by Jim Hall on his earlier Chaparrals as a means of reducing under body turbulence and accompany drag... The effects were so dramatic he eventually put rubber skirting reaching to the ground and installed huge fans in a Kamm back powered by high revving by 2 stroke engines to suck the car down closer to the track surface. The debris flying into the faces of cars he passed had the car outlawed and he used movable wings that were operated by a pedal where a clutch would have been if he hadn't also been using tricked out GM Powerglide Transmissions.... Forgive me, I kind of get side tracked sometimes.

My favorite and still quite missed was my old 5R Integra. Out on touge and gymkhana if a passenger was in the seat they were holding on for dear life and when done they couldn't believe it was a FF and how much steering correction, throttle modulation was needed to keep that thing moving forward and not just spinning out. What an ultimate blast it was. If the Fit had it's kind of P/W ratio (5R 245ps/1065kg to the RS 125ps/1000kg) it might be close to it in the fun department. As fun as it is, it can't compare at all. Even the S2000 that followed the 5R was just not as fun to drive and I always drove it with the VSA disengaged because with it the drive was dulled when pushed.

Those Chaparrals were nuts and WAY ahead of their time.
Driver Adjustable Spoilers, underbody vacuum fans (like on the Mclaren F1 LM) and 2 steering axles before that was made illegal too!
Car & Driver test drove one a few years back if I remember..

Compared to the DC5 we get over here, how do you feel about the car? They are starting to become a greater (more reliable) value to modify than a lot of the other options in the used market from that era right now. I'm not familiar with all the differences, but imagine they are aplenty, and most being as hard to achieve without a swap as was between the original DC2 and 'r' variety. What did you enjoy most about the car, and what lent itself the most towards that quality?
edit: there are 2 type-rs for sale within 200 miles of me. Both are low miles and immaculate - and $20k. I'd love to own one someday, but want to actually drive it, so probably makes no sense to get a nice one.

Especially love the back window and trunk design. Probably would try to tone down the front headlights height somehow if I had one. Eyelids?

This was truly a sweet car that always reminded me of a crisp 7/8ths scale BMW 635CSi. Looks awesome lowered with nice wheels. Make mine silver with blacked out trim and wheel centers - polished rims.

I agree completely with the couple guys who commented on this car, I'd take mine in this color, I wonder why!? The comment about the 7/8th scale of the Beemer is spot on and if this car were RWD, could you imagine.....!
Thanks for bringing this car up, I too really like this, strong V6, sexy looks and IIRC a 6 spd was available?

Even with the 5sp AT this car was a blast.
Word up to all the integra fans. Honda were idiots to discontinue that line. Although by now it might have evolved into an SUV. Celica was best as the limited edition 4wd so 2wd don't cut it. american and ff shouldn't be uttered in the same sentence (although the first gen focus rocks, it's not strictly american). The new Mini can't cut it, as it will always live in the shadow of the original.
Too bad no one's mentioned the scirocco, it might edge out the integra on overall popularity. But, I'm here to represent for a brand that seems to get no love here in the US, but might be coming soon:
A few sports cars from a company that's made a few sports cars here and there:

the last iteration of the 156

the 145 in splendid yellow ochre

the brera

another 156

and for racing fans, the 155 touring car.
Please bring alfa to the US, please.

Not sure if I have one single all-time favorite FF. This one is high on my list though...
