My girlfriend's 99 TL's tranmission is failing.

Does anyone know the answers to, or know where I can find more information on the following questions?

- Are TL / Accord tranmissions the same (would we be able to buy an accord transmission of the same generation and use it in my GF's TL?)

- Are there any good places in Southern California where I could buy a used transmission? My girlfriend cannot afford a new one.
