It has a turbo tat will need to be rebuilt at some point.

And i bet the Fit (if modded) has better ultimate handling
but with the genesis... i can get a BOV and scare small children.

edit: an aftermarket bov/diverter valve (i felt a correction coming)

Reliability and resale are based on Hyundai's old reputation before they were a major competitor.
Higher insurance and payments, well duh. SPORTSCAR.
MPG? yeah it's not an econobox
Why is it more expensive to fix? Based on what ground?
Why would the turbo need to be rebuilt? Do you rag out your vehicles?

You Forgot to mention that the gen coupe is faster, sportier, and has a hell of a lot more sex appeal. You made it very clear in the other thread that yOu hate Hyundai. Did your dog get ran over by a Hyundai or something?

Umm, no. Have you looked at Hyundai resale lately? Hyundai resale is still crap relative to Honda.
Not a real SPORTSCAR.
I'll give you that.
Why is it more expensive to fix? Because its a flagship. Go into a Honda dealership. Try and buy replacement part for Fit, and then S2k. It could be the same piece (as in serves same purpose) and the S2k's will be a lot more expensive. That's how it works.
So you're going to buy a 'sportscar' and not ever drive it hard? In that case, go drive a Prius.

Genesis 2.0T = Not very fast and not much sex appeal. It's an ugly car.

And wtf why do you need sex appeal from your car?

Ok... drock's thread got turned into an obscene pissing contest... can we please not do that in this one? this thread isnt entitled: "repeatedly share your opinion on why the other posters are idiots"

kthxxx

anywho. its not so much that the gen coupe is more expensive... but that the Fit is so cheap to work on. you can go look up parts right now.. gen coupe is around the same cost as other comparable cars for oem/am stuff. its just products for the fit are pretty cheap usually.

to be totally honest, gd/ge... we are spoiled with this car. it has EVERYTHING except straight-line speed. other than that... it is a very impressive vehicle.

I feel like I'm talking to Arnie Grape.

I do love my fit and it has treated me well but sometimes I feel like it would be nice to have something with a little more balls and I personally like the styling on the gen coupe.. I remember when they first came out everyone kept comparing it to the g37 styling

You could get a BOV on a fit.. There's just a bunch of other stuff you have to buy to make it work :):)

i remember that. it does share a resemblance. though again, i would prefer the 2.0t, im not ready for another gas sucking v6. (before im corrected on that, i would just like to say gas-sucking is a relative term)

i like the styling too. they look absolutely nasty with a good drop and wheels..

(again, before anyone says anything... this is my O P I N I O N. please do not feel obligated to object in a demeaning way..)

That car has a great looking interior... The back seat is a bit tight (seemed a little better than a Mustang), but honestly, you don't buy a sporty RWD 2+2 for the rear seat!

I just bought a new car, so as much as I'd love to see how she drives, I'm staying the f*ck away so I don't do something foolish.

But raved about the 2011 Ford Mustang, which, well, shares all the same qualities except the turbo.

MPG, insurance/payments, repair costs - it's all part of the territory when you buy a more expensive/performance oriented car. A new Fit costs more than a bicycle. Pick what you want and be willing to pay for it. (shrugs). My insurance is a good bit more for the tC than it was with the Fit, but I anticipated this, and the tradeoff is worth it.

Yep.. I've come close to giving the fit over for a ap1 a couple times but my brain took over and stopped me.
I've only seen one modified get coupe in person.. It was grey, lowered, and had some fat bronze wheels.. Couldn't tell what wheel bc they were spinning but that mofo was PREETTTYY...

Edit: wow just realized it looked almost exactly like the one in the pic lol wierdd

@SSM: I love the look of it with a wing, very sporty but theyre just as nice without.. but the same goes to the evos.. they look awesome with their stock wings, but every time i see a wingless evo my jaw drops..

@ Bthasht: Honda>Hyundai. yes, based on history.. yes.
but its impossible to say fit>gen coupe because theyre completely different.
The fit is an ecobox and the gen coupe is a "sportscar" as far as i can tell (seeing as how its regularly compared to mustangs and g37s and such).

mike just hates hyundai as a whole so he probably thinks that Geo Metro>Hyundai genesis.. or maybe we should try to compare an H1 to a smart fortwo and see how he figures out with one is better.

Metro is another Korean POS. No thanks.

And the mustang/g37 aren't sportscars either.

Mustang = Pony car
G37 = entry level 'luxury' car

And lol @ the Mustang and Genesis being the same except one is turbo and one is not.
