New Car in Canada

Went to Victoria Canada for our honeymoon and saw the new Smart Car. They're everywhere! Tiny things, but seemed to pick up speed fast. Only park, drive, and reverse gears on automatic.

I saw at least 20 Toyota Yaris liftbacks and 2 other Fits. All the taxi cabs were the Prius.

The smart has been in Canada for almost 2 years now. It actually has a tiptronic transmission called softip. The car will not shift for you unless you rev it over 4000RPMs. You have to manually shift it with the shift knob or paddle shifters if you opted for them or got the Pulse model. It only has 42bhp and 76ftlb torque, but it is more than enough to get around the city and highway because it is so small. Fun car to drive, more of a novelty though. Had to get rid of mine when I wanted a little more flexibility and function from my car, hence the Fit!

I saw one parked on a street backed into the curb! While other cars were parked parallel to the curb :)
