Things that don't make any sense, like wheelie bars on a FW drive

Ya, I'll be sure to tell Kevin that next time I see him.

I'll just leave these here for you to absorb:

See those two scrapes the wheelie bars leave in the pavement when the weight transfers to the back on launch.. think about that for a second

I hate drag racing and even I can completely see the point in wheelie bars on an FF car.

You're a dumb.

:embarrassed:
Very interesting... so essentially they do just the opposite of what wheeliebars normally do for a RWD. They don't prevent a wheelie though, which is why I thought they were useless for FWDs. I've only dragged in my Firebird, and a friends Corvette, never in a FWD. Thanks for the info

well, same thing more or less.. they keep the nose planted

Limiting straps, tight rear springs, shimming, etc.. all in the name of getting that 60' down

No reason to be embarassed, if you've never been exposed to it, you wouldn't know, now you do!

I remember the first time I saw "wheelie bars" on Bergenholtz' CRX back in the day I was like wtf myself, then I learned why and thought it was clever as hell.
