That car is wonderful. I considered trading the Fit in on one, but when I drove one the car didn't elicit any sort of feeling. I was blown away by the chassis, but its such a soulless car :(

Gears were too long, suspension is weird. I like the BRZ tons more, leans slightly towards understeer but at least it's predictable. The FR-S feels all over the place, understeer at low speed and over at high

I've never driven the FRS. Just the BRZ, I thought they were the same except the Z has LSD?

I'm keeping Fit and buying S13/14 or FC on the side haha

They have uniquely tuned suspension.

yeah im pretty sure they use the same tires. The FR-S I think has a stiffer back end. Not bad but needs more grip to balance it out, too stiff for the stock tires right now

Was it just me or after driving the Fit did the BRZ/FRS seem like a spaceship?

in what way?

My fit has coilovers, a rear sway bar, and a turbo, so the first thing I noticed was more power and more comfort. The handling and steering is amazing on the Toyota but I only wish for more power!

The BRZ is said to have a much better tuned suspension and is much less prone to oversteering.. A R&T test driver was able to do faster lap times in it than the Scion..

So for everyone that has test driven the BRZ/FR-S do you think it lives up to the iconic AE86?

^ I think so.. chassis feels great but lacks a teeny bit of power, or shorter gears would feel great too

Mike hahahaha 2x the hp is a big difference!

The chassis seems like a fair successor however it seems to lack the visceral nature of the original hachi roku. And the engine sounds like booty instead of the rad sound of the 4A-GE.

i found out that the stability control is not fully shut off even if you turn everything off... ruh roh time to find the remedy! It will probably feel lots better after it's removed

But I think newer cars just feel more "professional" nowadays. haha

I can't wait to encounter a kid in one that thinks my Fit won't keep up.

i would probably get one if i still lived in LA. in my area (midwest) where most of the roads are flat and straight, it is too slow.
