^Never seen an N in the wild. Early 70's Civic is probably the oldest Honda i've seen on the street.

What dealership is that at?

That's at Scott Robinson in Torrance

I must have checked out that car for at least 30 mins, it was so cool!

From a meet last Summer in Blackhawk. The dealer brought it hoping to drum up some interest.

A poster with a black one of those adorned the walls of my child hood bedroom! According to Captain Slow on Topgear, its a "don't meet your hero" car... but if anything that made me like it even more :D

It was definitely a once in a lifetime drive for me. The owner was a pretty laid back guy and we talked for awhile about the car

How was aligning something like that? I have no idea about any of the suspension components or even what kind of suspension it has.

Exotics meet? There is a McLaren dealership down the street from my work that always has cool cars out front, I should snap a few pics for this thread.

I have never seen a McLaren driving, I have seen a few Countach in SoCal and I don't even care if they're fast or handle, they sound and look cool enough rolling to make up for it haha

There is a group called Euro Sunday that puts on regular meets. Cars have ranged from this McLaren to F430's, 512BB's, Lambos, the odd Lancia or 2002 Turbo to my humble little 330Ci.

I saw another MP4-12C in Monterey during car week last summer. That is a great place for car porn..

Spotted this baby a few weeks ago coming home from work.

This was only the second time in my life I ever spotted one of these on public roads, I was pretty excited.

When is Car Week? My wife loves Monterey so might be a good little trip for both of us.

I love DeLorean sightings! There's one around my work here I see occasionally I think is a local's. Quite a few cool cars in Silicon Valley. Interestingly enough I spotted another MkIV Supra yesterday but had a young woman driver so I didn't want to act like a perv snapping pics lol

It coincides with the historic races at Laguna Seca (Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion), so it runs from (I think) the 12th through the 18th. I'll be there on the 16th at a show called Legends of the Autobahn that is sponsored by BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, and Audi. This year, BMW is holding their annual Oktoberfest event in Monterey the following week, so if you like unusual or classic BMWs (507s, M1s, CS Coupes, 2002 Turbos, etc) Monterey will be overrun with them that week.

AND Pebble Beach as well as the big car auctions are usually on around this time... Makes stayign in/near Monterrey for a trip HARD/$$$. Last time I tried to do an AutoX at Marina and a weekend in Monterrey around that time of year we had to end up staying in Salinas for $$$ a night at a not so wonderful motel :( Saw a whole slew of Lambos coming out the back gate at Laguna and chatted up a DB9 owner at the gas pump though :D

I knew I was forgetting something - yup, the Pebble Beach Concours. Last year a group of us hung out on the patio at the Starbucks in downtown Monterey. This is across the street from the Monterey Conference Center where RM Auctions holds their auction. There were a stream of unusual cars lining up to head into that facility to be auctioned.

I had a MKIII Supra (88 or 89) with the factory Turbo.... it was quite the beater by the time I owned it... sunroof had flown off on the hwy on the previous owner so he just silicone caulked a plexiglass piece right on top of the roof.... not to mention the car stunk like death... kinda like the car from Seinfeld, no amount of interior cleaning could get rid of that stink. I was soooo happy when it finally kicked the bucket on the hwy about a yr later... I only paid $250 for it at the time.... One great thing about it, is that it had torque for days....

Thanks for the info Cliff and TPC, this is this month? I'll be out of town for Father's Day, good and bad I guess. May have to try that Oktoberfest though I do like some unusual BMWs and never seen many in person.

Thanks for the link! That thing's a beast and smog compliant haha

I had a smelly car like that, was a Sentra and smelled like old people, no matter how I cleaned or squash air freshener'd it smelled like moth balls, my GF hated it more than I did, and that was quite a lot. Would like a MKIII and wouldn't even mind a beater as long as it was 5MT.
