I wonder when someone will try to make the upcoming civic turbo work on a Fit

 

Surprised no one has made on comment on this.

It will be only a matter of time before someone tries it, but it really should be a whole engine swap and not just the turbo.

The 1.5T in the new Civic will have stronger internals, along with a ton of extra wires and piping, based on what I've seen.

It makes sense, though. If Honda put that in, surely that would be the Fit Si that we have all dreamed about.

Then again, I would still prefer a K20. I like NA engines more than turbos (I've had both).

As for the Fit Si, I kinda already feel like we have that. People just aren't capitalizing on the 1.5 N/A's engine breathing capabilities. There's no reason a lighter, manual tranny Fit can't run neck and neck with a Civic Si/Fiesta ST/Focus ST/Abart 500/Mini Cooper S, if my autotranny CVT (Ewwww) can hit low 15's. Our current Fits are pretty awesome. The suspension and brake modifications are already available.
