Honda CR-Z hybrid question

Honda CR-Z hybrid question
I see the Honda CR-Z is a hybrid. I'm interested in this vehicle. However...
I have no convenient place to plug in a hybrid vehicle. I park on the street for both home and work, no where near an electrical outlet. If I needed to plug the car in, I would have to take the CR-Z to a public charging location about 10 miles away. But if other cars are recharging, I'd have to drive about 17 miles to a mall (usually no one is using the plug in spaces there early in the morning).
Imagine if I never plug it in. Can the CR-Z run just on gas only, or does the engine require it to be a hybrid?

^^ This.
The CR-Z is a parallel hybrid. Meaning that it has a gasoline powered engine AND electric motor that work together to power and move the vehicle. No charging stations required.
I'd highly advise test driving one in your usually driving scenario. While they are good cars their tech is a bit dated compared to Honda's current line up and have similar fuel economy numbers as these current non-hybrid Hondas... at least in highway situations. In stop and go situations like in cities or frequent traffic jams, it may be worthwhile.
