Window trim restore HELP!

I was wondering if anyone could help me with restoring my window trims? I have tried the heat gun method and using trim restorer, nothing seems to work. The trim itself still has a shiny finish but has grey spots on it, how can I fix this to a shiny black trim again

Thank You

I would degrease, scotch bright/sand, and paint it. Either use a trim paint that is flexible or use plasti-dip. Plasti-dip even has a clear if you want it shiny.

I did a section on one of my cars 3 years ago with plasti-dip and it still looks great after multiple car washes.

Not shiney but works great

Hey little late for op but the trims on my driver's door (gd3)
started to split and crack. I cleaned with degreaser and taped up on the car. Used truck bed spray liner in the can worked great 5 years and looks new. I have used this on many extior trim parts that have lost the original finish on many projects over the years. Easy and last the test of time. Use light coats at a 1 foot distance from what your coating , i use 3 to 4 light coats.

Hope this helps
