correct me if I'm wrong but most aftermarket HIDs are illegal due to safety reasons.

I don't really know whats the restriction on the HIDS...but therefore... as i known of no matter what K u got on ur car... if the cops sees it..they get the right to ticket u...but 8k is more visible to get caught...than 6k for sure...but i do really like 8K lights !!! i hope i wont get caught for a long while

I have had 8000K HID on my Fit for about a year now. I got them because I thought they would improve driving vision. BIG MISTAKE. 8000K is worse than the stock halogen bulbs.
Also, the HID looks like crap with our reflector housing. The light rays are all messed up compared to the ideal retrofit beam projection.
I'll be removing them when I install my HKS turbo this week.

Anyone interested in 8000K HID can PM me.

Have you tried aiming your lights? lol. My halogens are pretty bright since I aim'd them higher.
Awesome, you getting the HKS turbo kit eh?

I did some research into BC/Federal legal documentation before and I know aftermarket HID's are in a gray area right now. There is no specific section in the transportation act that states it is illegal to use aftermarket HID.

However it DOES state in clear wording that only WHITE color was acceptable for head lights.

However it doesn't state that you MUST be using 5000k pure white, as long as it can still be defined as white it is ok. 8000k is right at the gray area, meaning it depends on the cop.

I would say anywhere from 4000k-6000k yields the brightest USABLE light for human eyes, unless that is..... you ain't human!

just my 2cents!

I think I"m going to sell my HID kit out for $120. Less than a month, sick and tired trying to contact Xenon Xenith. What you get is one 8000K and the other one is 6000K. But some reason, it just didn't work today. I'm FOR SURE it's just the bulb.
