Small review on those LED lamps
Well I got all exited today as I received my LED Lamps from Atticusfit.
First I thought that this must be some kid making his own LED and selling them here, and for $25, what the heck, i will take my chances. Anything will be better than the original P.O.S that Honda gives us!
My first surprise, other than the lamps got here in a hurry, is that everything is neatly packaged in a small shell plastic package, but do not worry, not one of those you need a bloody chainsaw to open.
Inside you will find 2 dome light adapters that are cleverly made. They will fit a wide range of socket as the adapters can contract enough not unlike an accordion. This is for the dome light.
For the cargo light, there is a adapter that is inserted were the crappy old bulb was.
Basically, you will just have to plug the LED board to the adapter wires and.....let there be LED light.
If you have any kind of trouble doing the installation yourself, you shouldn't be allowed to operate any kind of vehicle, bicycle included.
It took me about 10 minutes and it is because i wanted to take pics for this review ( came out crappy because trying to take a photo of a light source always come out crappy) so that took me a bit longer than needed.
The result?
Well I am very happy with the LED lamps, very white, very bright, very cool looking.
The original lamp gave out the saddest light, made me feel like listening to Alice in Chains and moping around.
The new light washed all my long lost teenage angst and made the interior of the car look new, modern and most importantly , BRIGHT!
The dimming that occurs after a few seconds is in no way affected.
It is one of the best modification I did so far.
I would like to see the board a tad bit away from the diffuser so the light would be more...well.. diffused, but believe me, the difference between the old lamp and the LED one is such, that I don't really mind that.
Do yourself a favor, buy one of these and you will finally have a dome light.
