Selling My 2009 Fit Sport With $5K Accessories But Where?

I have never had a worse car n my life. I know being on this forum it is all my problem but I am here to ind out if anybody has any honest and serious recommendations on where to sell my Fit?

I am getting a Jetta Sport Wagon TDI and although I paid (with all the accessories) close to $20K the Trade-In Calculators on the VW Dealers websites give me a trade-in value of $13,500. I can get pretty close to what I paid by having a used Honda dealer take it of my hands but I have not put the effort to see if this is true yet. I have also heard that Carmax is good and something I should consider.

I have never sold a new car before like this so I am assuming the paperwork will be much more than selling a 1970 RX-7

Has anybody used Carmax? Since there is not one in Salt Lake City, that I know of, is this something that Carmax will do from a distance?
the Fit is great and I love the accessories I got but it is too small with zero legroom for a man who just has both knees replaced at 38. I took it to Vegas the other day, tried to stretch out my legs and realized there is no room to extend my legs out. Just a bit too small for this big guy.

Any serious help would be greatly appreciate. My car still looks new, has 3500 mi. on it, has not had an oil change yet since the service manager told me to wait until 5000 mi. the first time no matter how long it takes me to go 5000 mi.

thanks in advance for anybody who wants to sell my car for me and take 1/2 the proceeds. hehe

Come on help out your fellow man

you could try selling to a private party, you'd get the most $$$ out of it. But it could take a while to sell. Or you can do what I did. Go to the VW dealership at 7PM at night on the last day of the month. Make the sales guys sweat, and they'll give you alot more for your trade in. Thats what I did, they ended up giving me 3x more than what my salvaged car was worth. I ended up bringing my Fit home at 12PM, and they came to my house to pick up my old piece of junk. LOL. Good luck!

LOL. thats most european cars though. More electronics=more problems. But especially VW and Audi's. They're nice and all, but no fun to get fixed.

carmax is pretty good. Just go there and they'll do everything...Eval your car, takes about an hour or so then they'll give you their price..thats it...no hassle really..

I sold my RSX to carmax. Just bring your keys and title, and if you have a loan on it, you need to have a payoff quote from the bank.

Its a big PITA to sell a car privately if you have a loan on it, unless you have enough cash to pay it off because you can't really transfer ownership until you get the title from the bank.
