Is this specifically for a Fit? Also, how does it know when you shift into reverse?

 

It is universally suitable for all cars with electronic throttle control and GE new Jazz/Fit is one of them.

There is a wire set controlling the device (included in the package). Whenever you switch your gearbox to "R", the device will automatically switch to "Normal" mode. (Actually, all electronic throttle controller have this function).

We physically tested by ourselves on a Honda Fit GE for 10 months already and everything is working fine. We tried to compare the more expensive one, "Pivot", and it's the same. This is the reason I would like to promote this product here. Wish it helps

Comment is it can effectively improve acceleration (especially pickup) and it can really save gas for around 10% (depends on which mode you use, if you always use Sport mode 7, it will comsume more gas of course but it can make a big difference when accelerate).
