WTBorrow: GD3 motor mounts
WTBorrow: GD3 motor mounts
Looking to maybe find some one that has replaced their GD3 motor mounts and has the OEM ones laying around.
situation:
i want to inject mine to stiffen them up, but have no other car to drive for the week it takes the glue to dry. leaving me with 2 options; buy used/new motor mounts or borrow some ones to use temporarily.
not sure how this would work, maybe some one would be nice enough to do this for free (ill pay shipping both ways), maybe you would want a deposit, or maybe you would want to get paid for this (id prefer not pay just to borrow for a week)?
so anyone that would be willing to let me borrow their mounts for about a week PM me. local to 11746, even better.

Yep, the stock mounts aren't up to handling boost on my car either... If I didn't have a very light wheel/tire combination and a throttle controller with an EC 5 setting I would have a more serious problem than I have now. The forward rake from Swift Sport Mach springs adds weight to the front wheels and makes for better tire hook up than if the front and rear sat at the same height cancelling out some of the wheel spin in 2nd gear and under steer but at the same time has turned my mounts to mush.
i have the ingalls torque dampener and even that allows more movement than id like. i think i might have a broken motor mount
but either way, i can still inject a broken mount....jsut need temporary mount in the mean time.

If you don't want your car out of commission that long you can always go with the quick curing Duramax or whatnot, or you can fill in thin layers so it cures faster. I was about to fill mine today... sadly my tools are currently at a friends place
Sure thing boss, well I'm gonna just post up a link neways, the video kinda shows it
Skunk2 Racing: '06+ CIVIC SI SOLID ENGINE MOUNT HOW-TO and apparently it is ready in about 30 minutes according to the video. Also, following the comments about the video the duramax stuff can be found in autobody supply houses.
