**June 19, 2017 - Fit has officially been sold due to financial priorities. It has been a great time learning from fellow Fit Freaks and sharing some info that I know as well. Who knows maybe I would want to get myself back into a GD or GE somewhere in the future. But for now jmsplitfyre is signing out. Peace out, Freaks!**

Hey folks, it's been a long time since my last visit.

Nothing to report today, but about a month ago my drive shaft broke at just over 109K mi. Luckily, I was three doors down from a Honda dealership when it broke, and I was just about to pull out from a gas station when it happened. Sad part was the road I was on was too busy to just push the car down the street and I had to get a tow truck. While she was in for that, I finally got all my recalls done.

Well, everyone here knows that "drive shaft" refers to CV shaft or axle.

I can't believe it happened on car produced by car maker known for their quality
Are they too cheap to put corrosion protection on the CV shaft??
Happy Honda days!! (of the past)

Dyno'ed it the other night and fiddled with fuel and ignition tables via Flash Pro since I've been chasing this odd loss in power around 6k and seeing knock on cylinders 2 and 3. Turns out that a little timing had to be pulled in order resolve the knock and dead spot around 6k. Between 3 to 5k, I advanced timing and added a little more fuel as well... seen a noticable gain there. Car now drives a lot better in stop and go traffic around town.

Currently seeing 152 WHP and around 126 torque with an ambient air temp of 90 degrees (Even though it was 10:30 at night! Haha)... shooting for 160 WHP once I quit being lazy and put the ATF cooler on.

Not bad! Are you in charted territory regarding the trans? Still running the stock fluid?

(We need a grenade emoticon on this forum)

I'm not completely sure. No slippage as of yet and I'm currently using DW1... I had briefly switched to AmSoil Signature Series ATF and wasn't too impressed by it.

Been a busy last two weeks for the car.

Got the new brake rotors and pads and got it bleed two weeks ago then yesterday the car didn't start to find out the alternator and battery died.

I'm loving the progress sway, I wish I got it sooner.

Added 125 ml of Redex Petrol Treatment to my full tank of gas. Never used the stiff before but I watched this video and decided to give it a try.

Direct port conversion almost complete. Fixed a small fuel leak around the pressure gauge, cleaned up the wiring a bit, painted the dipstick handlet and washer reservoir cover flat black. Nitrous bottle will be filled on Monday, hope to have my Evo X fuel pump installed before then. Once the bottle is hooked up I'll remove everything, clean it, test for even nitrous flow, reinstall and do some test runs.
