Signature Sizes, please enforce some rules here!

Hi guys, I'm very happy Fitfreak allows signatures for users, but can we please get some sort of MAX SIZE for signatures. Some people are using like 640x480 images and they just bloat threads to an unbearable size.

Something around the size of my current signature would be a good size for what should be allowed.

Agreed... if your sig is bigger than your post... take it down a notch!

This is a bit of a repost,
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/site...pic-sizes.html

I love my sig

I can't see the original OP's size while I am at work, all the pictures are blocked out How big is it??

How about the file size? With proper compression you can bring an image down to less than 1/4 of the size without losing much quality. I gave an example of it on the link above, I was able to shrink down Mx6GT89's pic with little or no quality loss.

Your sig may only be 28k, but its still an eyesore. 480x278!
OP is 44k, but at 400x120 its easier on the eyes.

Eyesore!! *Sob, my beautiful signature... sob*

Ok, for you Mr. Burton I will shrink it down when I get a chance...

For the moment I will take it down. I still don't have my home computer up and running yet (I just moved this X-mas, I have no desk... I am stuck using the wifes computer with no editing software until then)

Update: Well, I hope that worked. I can't see any pictures even in the sig editing area because they are all blocked out!!!!

Samething happened to me too. No matter how small of the
size I shrank(I'm talking about the image), I kept getting the
"unable to load image" message. So I had to use photobuc-
ket to have it loaded.

I think the single sig images should be something along the lines of 100H x ~600W. And maybe limit the number of lines one can use in the sig. No one likes a sig that's a paragraph long.

I completely agree. The admin for this site should enforce this rule. There are currently users that have sigs that take up more than half the screen. Even the paid vendors signatures are smaller! The internet is flooded with useless ads/info already, we don't need more in members sigs.

I suggest a size limit (which includes pictures and text).

referring to your sig. You should just put ( any) knockoffs for that matter)
