Texas Fits, Anything goes thread
sounds promising. You should give Shinyribs a listen :-) YouTube - ‪Shinyribs performs "Poor People's Store"‬‏
Well looks like Friday I'll end up mounting my StarSpec's. Wheel wise I can't really set my mind on anything 100% so stocks will be wrapped in the new sticky. Springs, Rear sway bar, Front strut bar and Tails will go on before my bday (Aug 16) hopefully
The tricked out Ruckus scooter should belong to me.. It makes me wonder if I should strip down the old Helix that has been sitting unused for years an do it up all naked... Naahh I've got more going on that I can't tend to as it is.. I sure like that scooter a whole bunch.
whats his last name? or his fathers name? Because I work for all of the Federal Judges here ... haha
correction, just read the link to youtube. name does not ring a bell..
I run the 195/55 star spec's on a set of Kosei K1's and I LOVE it. Best wheel/tire set up I've ever had on the Fit.
I currently crack my windows now. Do window visors make that much of a difference? Would tinted windows be more effective than visors or less?
Also, by sun reflectors, do you mean that thing you unfold and place on the dashboard?

I have dealer installed window tint as dark as allowed by law.. I installed Mugen style vent visors to use primarily as a means of getting a little fresh air into the car or get the stink out whenever my dog would cut loose with a rank smelling fart... They do both very well as well as shading the windows somewhat and lowering the interior temperature on hot sunny days,
Window tinting would definitely help keep the car cooler inside. I figured you had your windows tinted (but apparently not. ha).
As for the window visors... When comparing them on a dry day to not having visors at all. No, they will not always allow more heat out when the car is parked with windows cracked due to partially blocking the hot air's escape route (remember warm air rises).
On the other hand, they do provide a vacuum affect while driving with the windows cracked (the rear windows in particular) which aids in getting the hot air out as well as protects the interior from any rain or people/birds dropping things inside your car.
And yes, that is precisely what I was talking about when referring to a sun reflector.

I'll be getting tint and visors soon. The heat this summer has been ridiculous. Do you feel heat coming from the roof liner, or is it just me??
I can't that I've felt heat coming from the head liner but on one day I forgot to crack the windows, the inside of the car felt like I was in a pressure cooker. But once dropped all the windows and cranked up the fan to 4, the heat was blown out and it was much more comfortable inside.

The first mod ANYONE should do to their Fit is TINT THE WINDOWS!
