TPMS light

I took the wheels from my 2008 Fit that got smashed and put them on a 2013. The TPMS light was on in the 2008 and now it's on in the 2013. I'm assuming there are sensors in the wheels?
The TPMS is just the system that makes the low pressure" light work, yes?

There's a low tire light and the TPMS light - TPMS light 99% of the time indicates a bad sensor(s), or sensors that were swapped and never programmed. The 4 sensors are programmed to the car. So the sensors would have to be programmed to the 2013, but still, if the 08 had a bad sensor, then you still need to replace the sensor, or it could be 2 3 or all the sensors are bad. Or the wheels were swapped on that car and never had the sensors programmed to the car in the first place.

ugh. That sounds like more work and money than it’s worth. I guess next time I put tires on it I’ll look into a new set of sensors.
thanks for the info!
