FedEx Rant

Sigh..

So I ordered the short shifter kit from Skunk2 for 15 bucks.
I come home today, ran into a FedEx guy in my apt. I asked him if it was for me and he said no. Then he left. I get to my door, there's the stupid tag saying I wasn't home to "sign" for it.

I call Fedex and explain the situation. They won't allow my neighbor to sign for it unless he's in my apt. I'm pissed.

Stupid fucking Skunk2 had to ask for a signature. Now I have to waste my time, and effort to get something that was supposed to be shipped to my door. It's not like I ordered an iPad, gold bar or anything expensive. It's 15 bucks in metal. They won't leave it at my door, let my neighbor sign for it or even deliver it to my work. Only to my home, where I wont be for the next 3 days.

It's bullshit. I understand why the signature is requested. It's nothing super expensive. It's metal in a box. Sigh. I'm just agitated that I have to go to the Fedex store 20 minutes away to get something that should have been left at my door.

Why you mad at FedEx doe? That's Skunk2's fault for requesting a signature on a $15 part.

The saddest part is they (Skunk2) have to pay FedEx for that signature required on top of the shipping cost, so not sure why they'd do that on such a low cost item

I'm mad at Fedex about the fact the Fedex guy lied to me about the box he had.

I've already sent an angry email to Skunk2. It was 15 bucks for the part, and 10 for shipping. So I'll see what they say tomorrow.

I'm one of 4 tenants in an 8 apt building. So it was definitely my box the guy had, he just lied to me.

Pfft. My fedex guy is a douche.

UPS is easier. I can leave a post it note on my door saying leave it,even with the signature required and it's enough for them.

Since this is off topic as a whole, weird hot take from someone not that old but about to sound very
Why on earth would anyone ever under any circumstance order a short shift kit? Updated linkage all day, every day, but moving my arm 1 inch less has no bearing on the speed of my shifts, the horizontal reduction just drastically increases chance of money shift
more importantly actually moving my body is what makes driving fun
So i ask again why would anyone order a short shifter kit
