I have "almost" the same setup as Spreadhead, and I'll add these notes:

- Mine is mounted just above my mirror, on the passenger side, using the stock mount.
- I, too, quick connected to the lighter plug wire (and posted how to do this a looooonng time ago - last May or so?) I ran my wire up the driver's-side pillar , behind the airbag, above the headliner, and it comes out behind the mirror and goes to the V1.

This was very easy to do, and I've not had any problems with the V1, the mount, or the wiring, in any way.
