PID scan results

As I mentioned before $4 obd2 connector with 1.5 mm pins enabled my Masterscan scanner to be connected to OBD-2 connector in the car.
I viewed live data on hot idle and found something interesting
1) the timing varied between 7 and 9 degrees BTDC
2) the idle varied between 740 and 762 rpms
3) the EGR was commanded 0 with EGR error 99.2%
According to Motor Age this means the de-energized EGR is not fully closed!!
There is no CEL and no DTC codes.
I do not have driveability problems except slight tip-in hesitation while flooring accelerator from low idle (the car did it since day one new from the dealership)
While this error is usually caused by carbon build up on the EGR valve seat ($4 job), it can also be caused by faulty EGR position sensor ($180)
I also found (on forums) that many late model Hondas show this error during scan; someone cleaned the EGR and the error still was present.
I am planning to make a second scan with different scanner and see if it shows the same error
Later this month I will be doing brakes on my customer's 08 Fit Sport and scan it as well
It is a big fun to diagnose OBD2 cars:!
