1st post, 1st Fit, 1st Problem....

So, first post here, this looks like the best place to go for fit related advice and what nots...

I have an '09 Fit Sport with the USB audio connector. It plays with my iPod just fine, no complaints there. It lets me scroll through my playlists and songs, however, whenever I select "artists" or "albums" it will freeze for about 2 seconds, then just revert me back to the original screen telling me the artist that is currently playing.

It doesn't do this with my iPhone. My iPod is currently up to date as far as software is concerned.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Or troubleshooting that I haven't tried yet?

Thanks in advance.

which ipod is it? I'm guessing it may not be compatible with some older models.

sounds like it could be a bug, once of the "songs" could be corrupting the system, as the previous person said, it should be scanned with an anti virus program. if that works fine, then it might be the fit, so you should take it to the dealer for checking. hope u like the fit about everything else

Yeah... That's kinda what I was thinking. I couldn't find anything on Google search about the problem, every search turned up something about how bad the Honda MusicLink thing sucks.

I'm gonna try to restore it, see if that clears anything out. If not I'm just gonna have to make some playlists and suck it up.

I don't think it's the fit that's sucking, it works just fine with my phone, just not my iPod.

Thanks for all your help everyone, I'll let you know what I uncover, because I have about 65gb of music to restore, so I'll do it this evening when I can just leave it alone for a few hours to do its thing.

Katita is an unknown quantity at this point
Wow I hope it's not the fact that it's an older iPod because all I have is a 2nd generation iPod Mini.

The iPod is one of the first iPod Videos... so I'm gonna say maybe 3 years old???

All I had to do was restore it, so there was probably a bug with something, luckily it's not an issue now.

I think as long as you can update your software to the current version it shouldn't be a problem.
