MTF replacement in my 2009 fit sport
I want to replace my MTF in my fit sport
im looking at either Amsoil Synchromesh or Honda OEM

anyone use the Amsoil Synchromesh in their 09 FIt yet? or other FIts or honda products?

go with the amsoil - use it in my 96 honda civic ex sedan and have had no problems.

Ive heard very good things about Honda MTF. I used it on my S2000 and it made a world of a difference, especially on a tranny that shifts an engine at 9,000 rpm. I say stick with Honda. Although ive never heard a bad word about Amsoil, just dont have any experience with it, and it is a bit pricey.

In us country, we have many problems with EP3 Civic type-R and the Honda MTF 3. Crack in cold and shift problem when hot.

Hear the amsoil is good.

JDMChris.com (forum admin) recommended GM Syncromesh (or same thing, Pennsoil Syncromesh sold at Autozone)

It worked great in my GD3.

The Penns/GM fluid is a hot topic on many forums with generally very good to excellent results.

Whatever you use though make sure it is safe for yellow metals.

We used to use fully synthetic Mobile 1 in our racing 911s and you could actually feel it shift better than regular gear oil. It's not cheap and somewhat hard to find.

Where is the fill and drain plugs on GE Fit? I am thinking changing the MTF also.

Changed mine to Amsoil too. You feel more benefit when you change it the second time when all the original Honda fluid is flushed out.

I put the Amsoil MTF syncromesh in my 2009 FIT, and WOW, shifts smoother!!!! I highly recommend this!!!
