the only new thing ive seen that they added was Tire Pressure Monitors and 2 new colors to the 2008 Fits.

Anything new about gas cap locks or dead pedals?

yup that's all, minus white for paint. I think it's been spelled out several times over the last few pages iirc, or maybe it was some other threads...

when is the 08's schedule to arrive at dealer's lot? More specifically in LA... hoping to use them as leverage to get good deals on the 07s.

Next-Gen Fit (JDM) Release Date: October 18, 2007 (?)

October 18, 2007 is the date that is now floating around in Japan that is supposed to be the release date for the next-gen Fit. The 2007 Tokyo Motor Show will open on October 26, so if not on October 18, the all-new Fit will be out by October 26 for certain.

I heard that somewhere too! I cant remember where though. I hope that Honda Canada offers TW for us in 2008...I keep checking their site for the 08s. They still have the 07 Fit up. Where did you hear this rumor about the 08 colors?? *crossing fingers for TW*

It's ALOT cheaper than what we pay in Canada! Just over $50 grand here.

According to the website, it looks like they've made some options standard on the Fit Sport...including the side airbags, foglights, and the aux mp3 jack on the stereo, along with mp3 playback. optioning out my "dream Fit" it runs about $800 cheaper in 08 than in 07...

All those are already included in the Fit Sport package (which runs about $1500) at least in the US. Now if they lowered the price on the Sport that would be a different story.

The price of change

I see the same belly aching with computers as well. Be happy with the great car you bought instead of whining about what is new. The 2008 I buy now will be different from the 2009 others can buy a year from now. So what? During that time I had the pleasure of driving a nice car, not what I am enduring now, a beat-up Bonnieville with 130,000 miles, broken windshield, and collapsing interior roof liner.

Then again, if you are too anxious about change, wait for the car to evolve for another year. Do that, though, and you are in no better place since the 2010 version will be "better."

I put a deposit down on a 08 fit less than 3 weeks ago and should be coming in this week! Now i know that the 08s will have tire pressure sensors but does anyone else find it ironic that the dealer sent me a tire pressure gauge (fancy one from brookstone) as a gift for being patient?

how will the sensor work? will it tell you the pressure in the tires or will it just be a "pressure low" light?

What color did you get? And where abouts do you live?

I really want to see what the Blackberry Pearl looks like before ordering. It looks like a deep purple/black to me. Does anyone know of any other car with this color? I might have to wait a long time before seeing this. When do others think it will arrive on the big lots?

Chuck
