Just moved to sunny Seattle (from California) and, now that I'll be driving in the rain all the time, is it possible to adjust how far the windshield wipers travel? My driver's side windshield wiper stops about 2.5" from the left edge of the windshield at the top, maybe 2" or 1.5" at the bottom. Is this normal? Combined with the A-pillar, it makes for a pretty large blind spot every time it rains.

Not likely as the wiper is pretty much at vertical where it is now. Anymore travel and the top would likely hit pillar. You could try moving it though. Pop off the cap and remove nut - 10mm I think. Move the arm a notch or two and see happens. At worst put it back to stock position.
