I got 42k outta the stock firestones. Replaced them with Falken ZE950 205/50/16's. they're great tires, ride decently quiet especially at 40+psi. I'd recommend them. $406 installed.

I have a set of Falken SINCERA TOURING SN211 TIRE
from my previous car. They were great. I received a $50 rebate as well. As they are 15" tires I'll just put them on my OEM rims.

I'm amazed of how with so little miles you replace your tires. I have just 13 miles and they look brand new. Maybe They will last around 40 miles easily.
about your question I would go for Consumer Reports top choice Michelin Defender. They do a lot of test to see which is better. Reading the reviews they have bad reputation because people want to drive them in snow. Geee.
I just take they recommendation as guarantee in cars(like my honda fit) and in all my stuff. Why read hundreds of non scientific opinions with out solid information if there are some people that just do that day in and day out.

I only got 25k out of the stock firestones.
Replaced them with 205/50-16 goodyear assurance ultratour's from discount tire (they are the only place that carries this model of assurance)
So far much better than the firestones overall, they do seem to absorb bumps better and the roads here in San Diego are craptastic, but not a very quiet tire. They are still too new to really have an opinion on mileage or longevity, but I have not noticed a milage loss even with the wider rubber.
Discount tire has fixed a lot of flats for me over the years, as well as given me a used tire once to replace one that was too damaged to repair, so I went with what they had in stock.

Defenders are T rated. Fit needs H rates tires. Not sure what is the difference though.

Can the Fit even go 190kph/118mph for T rated tires, much less 210kph/130mph H rated tires? That is almost double the speed limit here and would get your car confiscated by police for 2 weeks (anything over 150kph on the highway).
