Aw man, you're killin' me. If I can get some money saved up hopefully I'll have mine by then or shortly after also.

Update:
I did buy the Drag DR51 in 17x7. 40 offset.
Discount tire assured me there would be no issue (according the their computer)
Was pretty bummed as the front wheels poke out from the fender and it looks really stupid. Also, apparently these are pretty heavy as it has taken a toll on power and MPG. Was really trying to get out of them, but discount tire was obviously not going to let me do that after ordering them in and installing.
So that stinks. Now to find lightweight 17" rims that dont break the bank and dont stick out the front.

rubbed on 16x7 +40 and stock height. Sure, it's not a lot of rubbing but not everyone can put up with annoying rubbing sounds.

Hey I'm sorry to revive this ancient thread, but I'm wondering if you can answer a couple of my questions.
My current Drag wheels are 16 x 7 ET 40 with 205/50 winter tires and the rubbing isn't terrible, but still sorta excessie Are you saying that the 17 x 7 ET 42 wheels don't rub whereas the 16" ones did? I'm on stock ride height, but want to eventually upgrade the suspension so rubbing is my #1 worry with getting a wider wheel.
My other question is what springs/shocks/coils are you running that you got that slight of a drop? I'm not looking to slam the car, my other car is lowered and is a pain on horrible NJ roads. I just wanna firm up the suspension without really dropping the car or making it less driveable.
