Should I pull the trigger?

Hey everyone, long time reader first time poster. I've been in the market for a new car for a while now and long ago decided the Honda Fit was for me.

When I was shopping around this summer most dealers were moving Fit's pretty quickly and I could only get MSRP, nothing less. Fast forward a few months and the market has changed quite a bit.

I have a dealer who will sell me a 2009 SSM Honda Fit Sport automatic with wheel locks for $17,267 which includes destination fee, but no doc fee or registration etc.

Is this a good deal or should I shop around a little more?

Wow, go for it... that's below MSRP and also includes destination fee. Tax, tag, title are your responsibility anyway (can't avoid those).. join the club and post pics when you do!

Pull the trigger. It's a great price - that's under sticker right?

I was hesitant a few years ago when considering the 07-08 Fits for a few reasons, most of it due to the huge shift in power - coming from an Acura RSX-S and 08 Accord Coupe 6MT. I'm actually glad I held off and got the 09.

I have no regrets. Absolutely loving my Fit. It's simply a phenomenal car, once you understand it.

Thanks for the article, it's a good read. Yeah I'm leaning more towards buying it, I just wasn't sure what deals other people were able to get. That's about $350 under sticker with the wheel locks.

Oh, did you know that the sticker price is only 500 something over invoice? There's not much profit room in these Fits, so if you even get one at sticker, it's a good deal.

So jump on it!! You'll be so glad you did.

I think that is a very good deal.
If you are willing to spend more time, I am sure you can do a bit better than that. Only a little bit though since invoice and msrp is only difference of around $600.
I am sure it is entirely up to you.
Some people are willing to spend more time to save couple hundred, but others are not.
Good luck on you purchase.

That's a good deal. Most dealerships will not budge from MSRP.

I say go for it, but I am biased. I am a "FitFreak". I love this car.

What do you think you are going to hear from us??? "Don't buy it?" Ha! We are all FITFREAKS so we are going to tell you:

BUY THE CAR! Become one with us....you will be happy too. The economy is going the wrong way but it's good for car sales - suddenly everyone is offering deals again, even on the Fit, and where you couldn't even find one to buy 3 mos. ago, they are sitting on the dealer lots waiting for offers.

What color are you getting?
