This sux, It is New Years Eve and I am stuck at work till 11:00pm with a 45Min drive to get home. Also my B-day is 12:02am on the first. This was suppose to be my big B-day/New Years bash

But work changed me from days to swings for this month!!

Thats what you get for being a DOD contractor. It feels Like I am still in the Military.

And to top it off, I am the only one here, it is minimum manning @ a 24hr Systems Engineer shop.

havent been able to post on here in a while. i got fired from the emergency roomabout four months ago for falling asleep under my desk for four hours after not sleeping for four days . i had never laughed harder than when my boss called me into her office to talk to me about what happened. all the nurses thought i was either drunk or on drugs. apparently one nurse shook me violently for about an hour and all she could get out of me was ''go away im tired''.

started my new job about two months ago with a local pharmacutical company. the pay is great and the work is super easy. the only down side is that i work third shift from 4pm to 630 am six days a week. its cool because im always getting over time but damn am i tired by sunday.

job security is one of the things that ii like so much about this place. my dad is the materials director at the old hospital i worked at and he said that my entire dept. was cut down to 30 hours or less a week!!! you would think that this horrible economic situation wouldnt affect hospitals but it is.

the new place i am at actually sent out a new letter just four days ago saying that due to the economy they were freezing all rases for the year or 2009 or until it was actually safe for them to start giving pay raises. i was pissed off atfirst because i was due for a raise the same week but one of my co workers told me to be happy that i worked there. aparrently in the 40 some odd years it has been open they have never ever laid off and this is a huge company. they will either freeze raises or not hire on any new people but they have never laid off and never cut hours it feels pretty good to know this.

Snow day, like Wednesday!

Cancelled today's jobs and moved them to Monday.

Jeez, I hope it doesn't snow on Monday.
