According to the manual, there is a noise that occurs occasionally on a cold start. My Fit has done this since day one, and it sounds exactly like what you described; A sort of pop or creaking sound that seems to come from the suspension. Mine does it the first time I accelerate in 1st to drive off after I back up out of my driveway in the morning. The manual states that it's completely normal and comes from something self-checking if I remember correctly
