And you're not even supposed to use duct tape for ducts! You're supposed to use metal tape

Back on topic, can't wait to see Zeta's dead pedal offering!

The pedal is a little high up but it is in the right spot for me and doesn't seem to be a problem cause its pretty long so my foot fits on most of it. Had to trim one standoff on the back of that panel to its left to fit the brackets but you can't see it. That panel is a pain to get back in correctly!

Custom Dead Pedal

Just thought Id share my custom dead pedal. I really needed it for my two 1 hour drives for work a day. If I get ambitious ill take pics of the brackets, but the panel that the brackets are under is a pain to put back on. Its an advance auto parts generic dead pedal but welded to two L brackets and bolted to the hood latch bracket. Love it and works great, just a little high but the pedal is big enough. Just need some aftermarket pedals to match

great idea, first week i had the car, i went to stretch out and place my foot on the "dead Peddle" um, we dont have one!

i managed to push off the plastic mounting over by the door and floor. i heard and crack and wanted to cry.

was still used to my old civic that had more leg room in the front and a dead peddle. . sometimes i feel like my foot is going to go through the floor in the fit. that thing is a good idea.

dead pedal

I just bought a dead pedal from the local dealership for a civic si. I think it's gonna work great with some slight mods to the pedal.

The Zeta foot rest, dead pedal, whatever you want to call it, will be available soon.

You can pre-order on their site. And I'd be willing to bet they are going to go fast!

Look for a "how-to" post about it soon.

The Zeta footrest/dead pedal is of no use to the original poster.
