My good double-sided 3M tape is holding my dead pedal in just fine

 

OK, I finally took a shot. I wasn't eager to, because I figured there are plenty of pictures of the "completed" mod. But here you go! [Having trouble uploading picture. Sorry! Suffice it to say, it looks pretty much like everyone else's.]

I haven't used the grip tape - not sure I will. It works fine as is, and should I want to go just socks, it's probably better without it. You may also see that a bit of the pedal's paint chipped off along the bottom edge, center. I don't think this is going to be an issue, but it was a small bummer. I don't recall hitting the pedal on anything to cause that. But it definitely didn't come that way.

Note, I don't have trouble with the mud mat jamming my accelerator pedal. It does get askew fairly often. But having worn through more than one original floormat on prior cars, ones with far more substantial mats than the Fit, I realized that the Fit would wear through very, very quickly unless I put something else there. And it's good at catching water and debris.

 

Realize this is quite an old thread... but just picked up a 2007 and need a dead pedal. Can't seem to find the Zeta model on their site. All I can find is this - 2007 - 2008 Honda Fit Racing Pedals w/ Footrest Option but I'd prefer to just purchase the original simple dead pedal. Any advice? Thanks!

 

Just called them, so for anyone else looking... they've been discontinued.
