Got my Zeta Products dead pedal last night, put it in this morning. I already wonder what I ever did without it! Worth every penny. Nice product, thank you!

Installed my Zeta on Sunday. Very easy install w/ clear instructions. Perfect fit, solid as a rock. The angle is a bit steep, but I generally just press up against dead pedals with the ball section of my foot, so its stability is more important than the angle. I decided not to put the grip tape on there. Didn't like that the size of it didn't match the actual pedal (I'll do my own later if I decide to apply some). Overall, a very nice product that works as intented.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. I put mine in on Saturday.

Just received my Dead Pedal in this morning hot off the UPS truck...didn't last 30 seconds in the box or 15 minutes out of the box before going in.

One thing that varied from the instructions for me... the retaining clips the instructions tell you not to pull out. The top one came off with my cover (it had only 1/2 slipped off the cover then just popped out). So I removed it from the cover and placed back in the frame. When trying to put the cover back on and getting to to slip onto the clips was not going easy. The clearance for the top clip was kinda close.

I used a needle nose pliers to pull the clips back out of the frame. Placed them in the cover, then just slip the cover over the roof release and pushed it back into place. To me it seemed easier than trying to line up the cover & clips blindly to slip over.

Still took less than 15 minutes to get it installed and love it.

now it's time to go for a little test-ride !

I've had my fit w/ dead pedal at 2 different car meets. Each meet had different fit owners. All of them fell in love with the dead pedal.

Much, much easier. I did the same thing. I've also had the cover off several times since doing the dead pedal, for various wire routing reasons. Each time I put the clips back on the panel and then installed it. Like I said, it's much easier that way.

Zeta, would you consider updating your instructions with this change?

We have revised the installation instructions and added the above information. Hope this helps.

I bought the dead pedal from zeta products, and had an incredibly frustrating time with it. Am I supposed to rip a hole in the insulation to make it fit? Because the metal extension on the back of the pedal prevents it from laying flat on the wheel well.

Because the floor is not flat, we weld the metal "foot" (extension) to the back of the pedal. The "foot" is supposed to contact the floor when properly installed. We have sold thousands of pedals with great success!

Oh, sorry, I just realized you posted this.

I will, but I am working on dp cover to make it less angled... I love it and i use it, but I think that it could have been a little bit better in terms of design. i usually just put the left side of my foot on the dead pedal. I never put my whole foot on it due to the angle

Most find the angle just fine. We could not have made it less angled due to the shape of the floor. Less angle would make that the bottom of the pedal stick out more.

Just wanted to say that I waited for a long time to get the Dead Pedal because I was unsure of how it looks and being worth the cost.

My mother-in-law gave it to me for Christmas and I've been enjoying it since then. Much better than I was afraid it would be, in case anyone else has doubts...

One thing I find is I often put the left edge of my foot on the narrow piece of metal bracket where it goes under the plastic trim piece. The left side of the actual pedal seems angled further back compared to the right side, and when I put the left edge of my foot on the bracket it sits just about flat. It seems like maybe the pedal could have been wider.
