Beeping Horn when locking/unlocking with fob

Need help confirming how the standard security and remote lock systems (2008 Fit Sport, US model, non-Karr) operate.

I understood from the owner's manual and previous posts here that when you press the lock button once on the remote fob, the doors lock, lights flash once, and the security system arms. When you press the lock button again within 5 seconds, the horn beeps once basically as a confirmation. When you press the unlock button once on the fob, the lights flash, the security system disarms, the dome light turns on, and the driver side door unlocks. When you press the unlock button again, the other doors and hatch unlock.

Above is what happens in my Accord, but in my 2008 Fit Sport, the horn beeps once when I press the lock button on the fob (in addition to sequence above). When I press it a second time, the horn sounds a second time but at a higher volume. When I press the unlock button, the horn beeps twice (in addition to the above sequence).

Is the honking every time the fob button is pressed normal? Or should I suspect some kind of a malfunction? With the SS or the remote lock system or the fob? Where do I begin to troubleshoot? Or is the horn function somehow customizable? Bottom line, I don't want the horn going off every time I press the fob button.

I press the lock button once, twice is just a reassurance-honk to ease your mind.

if you push the button once, my car locks, but does not beap. the 2nd time it beeps though. if you think this could be a "malfunction" and maybe a sign of the premature failure of your car alarm, bring it to the dealer.

mine also does not beep when being unlocked.

i think the way your accord is, is pretty standard for all cars.

i think u got karr alarm system installed by the dealer. (most honda dealer installed this system on their brand new cars). usually underneath the driver dash.
