Aux Input installation

I just bought a silver base Fit and I was looking for a way to install an aux input without having to do it myself (not very confident at my abilities to take apart and put together anything in a new car...)

Anyone brought their Fit into the dealer/car audio store/etc to have an auxiliary input installed? Any recommendations?

koolkev, I think what foxfour is looking for is someone to do it for them, not to do it themselves as read in that other post. While it's a good read, it's not for us non-DIY electronic types. So I'm with foxfour, noob or no noob, does anyone know where one might get it done by a professional?

It would be a long drive but there's a place down the road from me that did mine.
Check out your local audio shops for someone who knows their stuff and ask for reccomendations.
Circuit and Best Buy know how or should but a better choice would be an independent local with good props.

yeah i know he was lookin for a person to do it for them but if he does get someone 2 install it, the audio place can use the instructions in the thread 2 make the AUX port. I didn't mean it to sound harsh i just forgot 2 mention to show this thread 2 the audio installer.

Any luck finding someone to install a stereo jack in the AUX port of your Base Fit?

I just got one (in the San Francisco Bay Area) and have been looking into this. In addition to the thread linked above I found this page (could be the same guy I didn't look that hard):

Honda Fit Aux Jack installed! - sowbug.org

I figure I'll give it a shot some time, but if I could find someone competent to do it, that might be better.

P.S. This is the first thread that came up when I used the search function.

I bought the USA-SPEC box and had a local independent store install the box using the disc changer...it works fine as an audio output, but the charger didn't work, so I just bought a cheapie to go into the lighter. It's worked well for a year.
