No, it's offered in Japan and the UK as well, but not sure what models get it.

In the US Base model, the aux jack isn't installed, but the plastic tab where it goes is positioned right beneath the cigarette lighter.

I plan on getting an aux port installed when I have a little spare cash. I wonder how much it would cost to get the dealership to do it vs. some car audio place? Surely not more than $100 USD at the most?

As of right now no one has information or knows how to add the AUX input jack, although they do offer it for the 2006 Civic. I think right now Honda is trying to push the MusicLink thing so they don't want to offer this accessory just yet for the Fit. One of the dealerships I visited said that when it is offered it will probably run about $100-$300! to install. The part for the Civic is only $54 at CollegeHills so really it shouldn't run $300 to install when it does come out.

I'm not sure yet - but, I'd be willing to bet that there is a way to make the one offered for the Civic fit in a Fit.

I just read over the pdf instructions for the Civic and even though it say "preliminary" it doesn't look too hard. The base Fit does have a place for an AUX input so location might be different, but if the connection is the same I'm sure it could be done. I'll have to compare the Fit stereo w/ my sister's '06 Civic and see if they are similar.

You can use the Ipod with that adapter, but plugged through the head phone jack or line out on your Ipod. The sound quality from the head phone jack won't be as good, it won't charge the Ipod, and the radio won't control it.

Yes you can use the ipod, but as b17 said it won't charge it, you'll select music from the ipod, and in order to have better sound quality you'll want to get the AUX connector that goes into the dock connector rather than just plugging into the headphone jack, which will still work, but won't sound as good.

Thumbs up Find Fit Features Fast

Hope everyone got a "Quick Start Guide" along with the regular Owner's Manual. It's a well-organized, tabbed booklet with glossy diagrams showing where everything is -- cheat sheets! I've noticed that Honda owner manuals are better organized than most, with a good index.

The aux basically turns your car into a headset. So anything w/ an audio aux port would work.
