Stock AUX + Avic D3???

I know the Avic D3 has a AUX input on the faceplate but i wanted to know...since im thinking about replacing the headunit with this one on a FIT Sports, will the stock AUX input be rendered usless or is there a way i can still retain that feature with the one that the new headunit offers.

When you take out the old HU, you will be taking the Aux out as well - the Aux is an input on the back of your stock head unit.

Looking at Pioneer AVIC-D3 In-dash DVD receiver/navigation system at Crutchfield.com, it seems like your new unit only has the front aux input, nothing in the rear.

If the AVIC3 had a rear aux input, you could connect your factory input to it, but it doesn't look like the AVIC does.

I have a base model, so I forgot about the cig. adaptor input.

its possible you need the pioneer aux adapter that plugs into the changer port. run the line to oem aux then cut rca end and splice into oem aux
