UK Honda Jazz adding a Aux socket or getting a replacment fascia adapter

Guys,

I would appreciate your help if anyone can. I live in the UK and have an 05 Honda Jazz. It doesn't have the AUX jack (this was put in on early 06 models). Does anyone know if this can be added or some kind of mod as i am dying to use my ipod with the headunit.

Failing that is there a Fascia adapter that can be purchased and install a new headunit. I would rather go the AUX jack route 1st as i am fairly happy with the headunit just the fact i cannot use any kind of Mp3 player with it at present.

Honda have been a waste of time. Anyone actually added a jack successfully to a UK 05 model.

Thanks for looking

First question is does your Fit head unit have a AUX setting you can choose? If so then it should be a matter of purchasing a 06 aux wiring harness, plug into the rear of the radio, and installing aux plug trim piece ...

The Navigation Double DIN facia available from every / any Honda dealer in the UK allows you to fit a standard aftermarket single or double DIN headunit.

Its not like Australia or the US where Honda don't offer the part at all and it has to brought in privately from Honda overseas.

ideally i just want to add an 3.5mm Jack Aux like on the new Jazz's. Can this be done. If i was to put a double din in i would have a gap under the headunit as i only intend to get a single headunit..
How much are the fascias

Honda UK had the facias listed at around 100 pounds. Don't know what the UK dealers actually charge. Why not just call one?

yeah i have found out the fascia charge ages ago - i was trying to avoid this and just intergrate the aux jack into the existing headunit.
