CD Player Problems Anyone?

Yesterday I was in the middle of the 30 mi drive to work and my music stopped playing (I have the iPod link) and the cd player came on and the screen flashed "load disc" over and over, stopped and did it a few more times within the next 10 - 15 min. It made the noise like it was trying to load and eject a disc even when the car was off (keys out of ignition too!). I came back to the car about 3 hrs later and it hasn't happened since. Mind you I NEVER use the cd player just the iPod link and there was not a cd in it when all this was going on. Has anyone else experienced anything like this at all? I called the dealer but I doubt they will be able to duplicate it and the service manual says nothing about anything like this.

this just happened to me tonight. any idea why it happened/ what to do to fix it?

you said it just went away, right?

if it is still doing it in the morning i will try the battery reset, and if not im going to the dealer, its bs that a car with 2500 miles on it has a broken cd player

This just happened to me tonight! Was also using my ipod plugged in directly and then it just stopped. "cd load" flashed on screen and I couldn't make it go away. pressed cd eject but that didn't help either.

What was the resolution with your CD player problems?
