Line level outs?!

I love my 07 Blaze Orange Fit Sport even like the Factory radio ( usually the first thing to go on any car I've ever owned) now the problem.. The double 12" enclosure loaded with Rockford Fosgate Stage Ones, that rocked my Trooper, is my cats new toy/bed. I know about line outs, I don't really like them, and all the so-called Car Audio places in Pensacola Florida want to tap in to a single speaker to get a line out for my sub. I desperately seek Educated or otherwise experienced info on what to use for good Quality line outs without upsetting my factory stereo.

Thanks in advance to any help I get.

P.S. I don't have a fortune to spend on parts and labor but have some set aside for Good sound.

Checkout the Alpine PXE-H650. It's an add-on for your stock stereo, it cleans up the output and also gives you signal outputs for a sub.

I've seen it in action and the sound quality after installing it was incredibly better than before.

High level (speaker wire) to low level convertor is the only real option if the head unit doesn't have even one RCA lineout or an amp with high level (speaker wire inputs). One major reason to go for aftermarket head units. Better audio control is another reason - proper EQ not just bass and treble adjustment. Not to mention variable crossovers, high / low pass filtering, time correction, etc, etc built to a standard not a price.

Your source unit must be pure. No point cleaning up a signal down the line with filters, black boxes, etc.

unless you are adding amplifiers for mids and highs u should just stick with a decent ajustable LOC for your sub.

you dont exactly need to have the cleanest signal in the world for adding woofers to a factory setup. its not that great to begin with and you arent going to notice that much of a difference between spending a fortune on it as opposed to the cheap route. just be sure to put it behinds the head unit to allow for future upgrade.

when you decide to go with upgraded mids/highs and power them then you should look for either upgrading the factory head or getting a better adapter.

I agree that the standard radio is decent, however, I plan to use one of these products. (the Trunk-lock)

I have used this in my girlfriends car, and her sound quality jumped as well as the level control opposed to just using the speaker inputs on the amp. Also, this product can run ~$30 online.

Easy install, low cost, small size. What more could you ask for? Hope this helps.
