Headlight suggestions

After you pull the connector, there's a rubber seal-black on my car. There are 3 tabs on the seal to help you remove it. Grab two of the tabs and pull the seal off. It's pretty tight, but by working around the perimeter by pulling on the three tabs, it will come off. After that, there's a wire retaining clip that needs to be unhooked to release the bulb. It's hard to see just exactly how it unhooks, so use a flashlight. Once unhooked, the clip swings out of the way and the bulb will fall out.

We have Philips bulbs in the FITS . Vision Plus ( 60% increase ) in the '11 and the Crystal Vision Ultra in the '13 . Got them from Home Depot for less than $22 each ( clearance ) . Much more brighter with a wider and longer beam . http://www.philipsautolighting.com/b...r=2013&trim=62

as I consider to buy this car; I took it for a test drive last night. I noticed the lights did not seem to aim very high...in other words when we were going over hills I could not see very far forward as the lights seemed to be aimed more downward. I was only alloted a very a short test drive which I was not happy about. Any input/advice?

I bought the Philips x-treme from powerbulbs, nice clean light on low, high beams did not impress me. 3 months in one blew, two weeks later the second went on me. Went and bought the silver star ultras, just as nice in low and good high beams. Is recommend the ss ultras.

Any DOT legal (i.e. not higher electric power consumption) halogen headlight bulb that is brighter than standard will do so at the expense of life. That's simply the physical limitations of light bulb technology.
I had to replace my headlight bulbs not long ago due to one burning out. The standard bulbs are rated for 1100 hours, while Phillips Xtra vision (or whatever their next step up brand name is) was rated for 160 hours. You can find the numbers on the package.
