has anyone tried element's internal bike attachment

i found this while researching for cheaper alternative for bike racks and such, i know there are a few parts that are inter-changeable between fit and element but not sure about trunk space

1. Buy a fork mount
2. Screw it into a 2x4
3. Strap it in the hatch with your tie downs.
4. Attach bike.

Good luck.
