How to install neon lights

Ok so heres my problem, i got a rocker switch that is LED and i have two neon lights to hook up and i have power to my switch but the lights don't light up.
I have a +Power , Load, and Ground on my rocker switch, i went from the switch ground to the frame so it was grounded. Then i had my DC+ from battery to the +Power on the switch , but i cant get my load to run the lights, i think it has to do with the wiring on my lights, i spliced the two lights together so that the black wires were together and the white wires were together then connected to load and got nothing, do i need to put anything in between the lights and the load? or one of my spliced wires from the lights to ground on switch to complete the circuit? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I would say that the splicing of the two neons isn't necessarily the best thing, but in theory it should work. Any neon set up I've used - I had small neon tubes underneath a suspended amp/sub setup, and I full underbody kit on my old ride - always had transformers in line. Do yours have them? They are definitely crucial to the wiring. They should run in line first from the neon tube, to the rest of the system. The lack of a transformer along with splicing the tubes together might be the problem. But, I'm not entirely sure, and I'd probably have to see a picture or diagram of how you put it together.
But, thats just my opinion from some experience, I'm by no means a professional I just do stuff like that for fun. LEDs are reasonably priced nowadays, use less power then neons, and are more resilient overall. You could easily pick up strips or tubes of LEDs and place those inline with the rest of your wiring without the need for transformers, and you can splice multiple units together. I did that inside my fit, just ran a ground a power and spliced two strips of LEDs together, and they're super bright.
Anyway, the post is a little long, but hopefully it might have something useful in it.
